Product Description Heartburn, snoring, coughing, and more can turn a good nights sleep into a nightmare if you suffer from acid reflux, asthma, sleep apnea, Hiatal Hernia, sinus congestion, breathing problems and more. But sleeping on a MedSlantTM torso length pillow that elevates your entire upper body and uses gravity to keep acid down and airways open, heartburn free, snoreless sleep drug free can be a dream come true. The innovative patented design is physician endorsed and recommended and made of hypoallergenic foam covered in an allergen barrier, dust mite proof, washable, removable zippered cover, includes an extra pillow case, and folds into a handy zippered, handled travel bag that will fit in the overhead bin on an airplane or under the seat in front of you. The allergen barrier cover is soft, supple, breathable, and prevents dust mites and allergens from getting into your pillow. The 32 length supports your entire torso and wont put extra pressure on your stomach like a shorter pillow will. You can use whatever kind of personal pillow you like and get a healthier, more comfortable nights sleep.

Good, Could Be Better November 26, 2008 Evergreen (Seattle, WA) I purchased this not because of acid reflux but because of allergies and the help a wedge pillow would be for my sinus problems at night (as in breathing!). It IS helpful. I do breathe better. But if you are a six foot or taller person, know that the pillow is a bit short. I've been in touch with MedSlant and they don't seem to care. But if you are tall, the thin portion of the pillow really needs to be another three to four inches long (maybe it should come in two sizes?). If it were a bit longer the pillow would be great. As it is, it's good. Given the price, you'd think they wouldn't begrude the little amount of additional foam and the few extra inches. A pity. Perhaps if one didn't use an additional pillow (as pictured in the Medslant ad) the pillow would be long enough. But the MedSlant pillow is quite firm. If you want any give, you'll want to use your own top pillow. Meanwhile, some have noted problems with the width of the pillow. I haven't had any problems here. It's not generous, but it appears to be wide enough. Bottom line, if your sinuses tend to clog when you lie down, and you have borderline "sleep apnea" problems, this pillow MAY help enough so you won't need to use a machine (as I recall they called it a C-pap or something similar)to get air. But the skimping on the lenth of the pillow keeps me from a glowing report. Still, it IS longer than the other pillows now available. Lastly, if you buy the pillow be prepared for Amazon to assume you have acid reflux and start bombarding you with "deals" on books about it.
Excellent in every respect! September 19, 2008 N. Morgan (Sierra Mtns. in Calif.) The wedge pillow was delivered as promised and exceeds our expectations as to quality and utility. Great product!
Sliding review of the wedge... July 31, 2008 D. M. Gay (Lake Jackson, TX) Overall, this appears to be a good aid for reducing the effects of acid reflux. Pluses: The pillow arrived on time, was packaged well (good carrying case), and was easy to understand how to use. Minuses: I tend to slide down the pillow through the night. It would be nice if the pillow-case might have been designed to promote less slippage. And, in general, snuggling is not possible.
Expensive June 3, 2008 Transcendant (Midwest) Helps with my reflux but unfortunately does what most wedges do, it causes one to slide down the wedge while sleeping. For this price the surface should be made of Tempurpedic foam which would help with this problem.
Not for those that turn a lot. May 19, 2008 W. Gow (Boca Raton, FL) I bought this pillow for my recovery time after my hysterectomy, and I had tried it out a few nights before just to get a feel of it. Well, that night I ended up ditching about halfway through my sleep because it just wasn't comfortable enough, and the same goes for all of the nights following my surgery. I'm one that likes to toss and turn a lot, so having such a narrow platform to lay on just made me uneasy. One way in which I put it to use, in which it worked quite well, was to use it in elevating my legs, but that makes for a very expensive leg pillow. Other than that, I'm sure that those whom can lie flat on their backs and sleep will enjoy it.
