Don't bother with this scale. It says you don't have to tap. You do, however, have to leave the scale on exactly the same place on the floor as when you calibrate it. Move it and you have to recalibrate. I slide my scale from under my sink to the center of my bathroom floor when I want to weigh myself. Might as well get a scale you have to tap and save time.
Also, it is almost impossible to get a consistent reading on the thing. You have to step on exactly the same spot every time. I don't know about you, but it's almost impossible for me to be in the same spot on the scale over and over again. There was an over 2 lb difference between two weights that I took this morning right after each other. I guess I can get a gross idea of whether I'm losing or gaining, but not any precision.
The only good thing about the scale is the big numbers are easy to read.

Read the reviews, believed the positive ones, got it and love it. The electronic read out gives you a precise # in tenths. It adds some "objectivity" to losing weight.

This must be a JOKE that upon delivery, it CANNOT be set up/installed without a "phone in" to a telephone number that is out of service until tomorrow!!!
Who, in their wildest dreams, expected for a bathroom scale to REQUIRE a "phone-in authorization" to get the damned bathroom scale to work!!!!!!!!!!!! Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!
RIDICULOUS!!! Only a corporation employed by total IDIOTS would have such an idiotic "standard operating procedure" to buy/use a bathroom scale to get it to WORK!!!!!

This is my first digital scale and I'm very satisfied with it. This scase is very light, looks good, easy to use. The display is big and it's very easy read the numbers. I also like the fact that the scale came with the batteries - you can use the scale immediately. I read many reviews before I bought this one and am very satisfied and recommend it for a purchase.
