3 out of 5 stars Really like them but have issues...   March 9, 2010

I love heavy, thick sheets; if you don't, you won't like these.

I bought these when I couldn't fine the 1,000-count sheets I like at Bed Bath and Beyond (for which I paid a lot more). These are really nice but have their shortcomings.

The stitching/finishing is not nearly as nice as the BBB sheets I used to be able to get. The BBB sheets had piping along the top and the pillowcases had the French pocket for the pillow end; these don't have either.

Worst thing about these is that one of the four pillow cases was obviously a reject for stitching reasons and then was thrown back into the "sell" pile post-finish; the stitching is off and the fabric is rough, not like the rest of the set; it clearly didn't go through the final process to make the fabric softer.

However, the color is great; they're thick and heavy, and the chevron pattern is cool. The taupe sheets look great with Amazon's Pinzon blanket in chocolate, which also has a chevron pattern.

I've ordered these shame sheets in sea foam with a taupe Pinzon blanket. Again, the "sale" price was great. Would not have bought these at list. I got them on sale so I can live with the defects.

The product has a good feel and good heft. It washes up nicely and fits mattress without a struggle.

5 out of 5 stars Finest sheets I've ever had   February 26, 2010

Ordered 1 set of queen about a year ago and liked them so much I ordered 4 more for my home and cabin. My kids raved about them so much that they've been asking for them for birthday presents.

VERY heavy construction, almost canvas-like, yet very soft. Oversized sides fit on thick mattresses easily.

What I also really like is the small, almost herringbone pattern that tells me which direction to make the bed.

4 out of 5 stars 1000-Count Sheet Set   February 21, 2010

Lovely sheets to be used during winter months, in particular, due to their thickness. I think they will wear like iron! Do not expect a soft percale like feel, but very pleasant to lie on just the same. Sea foam is actually a pale green which was rather a surprise to me - I expected a shade of blue.

1 out of 5 stars Hotel fine sheets   February 18, 2010

The linens delivered to me did not live up to the advertizing description.
The sheets are heavy and coarse and feel like canvas ( no joke). We will
probably avoid sale items in the future.
