2 out of 5 stars Restockng Fee   April 17, 2010

It turned out that I had to have the blanket sooner than later so I had to buy one locally. I never used the blanket. DealYard charged me a restocking fee even though the blanket was never even removed from the box it was shipped in and was returned within days of its arrival. I guess I should have read the fine print on the return policy. I probably won't order from them again. I could understand a restocking fee if it were unpackaged, unfolded, used maybe, then an attempt at repackaging was made and then returned. In my case, however, when it arrived back at DealYard, it could have been put immediately back in stock.

5 out of 5 stars Comfy, toasty and not bulky   February 24, 2010

These are very nice electric blankets. I bought two of them, one each for two twin beds. It's been a brutal winter (don't you know!), and the piles of blankets and comforters my kids had piled on top of their beds STILL didn't keep them warm in this drafty house. So I ordered these electric blankets for them. The power cords are long enough to plug into just about any outlet in your particular room I would think. I was able to plug each blanket into two separate outlets in the kids' room and we still had length to spare.

The blankets are very lightweight, and my kids panicked, thinking they were way too flimsy to keep them warm. But they were quickly convinced after the blankets warmed up. The controls are easy to use and easy to read. The blankets are wide too, generously covering the twin beds on each side as well. We are very pleased.

For the money, this is a great value. It has a simple and effective control and is very soft and warm. The auto timer turns it off after 8 hours. My wife uses it only on her side and loves it, we have had 2 others in the past and this is the best one so far, highly recommended.
