Customer Reviews: Great gift! April 6, 2010 A. Catanzaro (Los Angeles, CA United States) After receiving a similar blanket as a gift, I decided to get one for my mom. She absolutely loves it, and put it to use during the harsh Midwest winter. It is much softer and seems larger than the Sunbeam throw I have, and what's especially great is the auto off option. Without one of those, it's quite easy to fall asleep and wake up overheated... ugh. Highly recommended.
Beware, Sunbeam heated blankets are not all the same March 15, 2010 S. Olson (Clearwater, FL USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this Sunbeam microplush throw and was well pleased with it, it's as soft as a Vellux blanket but even better, because it has more of a terry cloth nap to it. Very nice. The internal heating wires are barely noticeable, and it heats well. I was so impressed I later bought a Sunbeam twin-sized heated blanket for a bed in a different room, and it was completely different. Although the throw and the blanket were both listed as 100% polyester fabric, the texture of the blanket was exactly like FELT, stiff and not very soft on your skin. While under it I reached down to pull it upward in order to uncover my feet, and the fabric was so stiff it stayed humped up over my knees like a tent! Not good. And the heating wires were much more pronounced, they kept raking uncomfortably against my toes. I wish I could return it, but I can't. My advice: make SURE you get the MICROPLUSH version, regardless of what size/shape you choose to buy. FYI, the good throw had a 3-position push button heat control with 3 hour auto-off, the bad blanket had a gray rotary 10-position control and 10 hour auto-off (which is overkill when you think about it).
Great Throw January 23, 2010 Shellie L. Shively (Carrollton, OH) I ordered this electric throw for my grandmother. She Loves It! Also, it shipped on time.
