I use this blanket every season! In the winter I keep my thermostat down and use the blanket, if I get a chill from the A/C in the summer, covering up on the low setting or off solves it. Easy to toss in the washer and hang to dry. Sometimes I wish it were a little bigger; at 5'5" if I hike it up to under my chin, my feet stick out. Still, I love it!

I purchased this for my wife as a Christmas gift. She has had 3 major spinal surgeries and finds it hard to keep warm when relaxing such as watching TV in the evening. She can now sit comfortably and the warmth of the blanket relaxes her muscles so that she is able to watch a full program. We live in the northeast where the winters are cold and she has been using this every night since Christmas 2009. I would recommend this product to anyone who has trouble staying comfortably warm while sitting and relaxing. The soothing heat and cuddly fabric makes it the perfect gift for your loved one. She is no longer an ice cube when she gets into bed at night.

A Decent Electric Blanket Throw! February 10, 2010

I purchased this electric blanket in January, 2010. Previously, returned the same one to QVC, except in light brown. The remote to the QVC throw had a problem inside its control box. Which is the model that has the LONG NARROW OVAL remote. I forget though its model number. SORRY. Yet don't waste your money on that model one!
I definately can say...this electric throw blanket with the ROUND\OVAL remote. Has been a blessing for me this winter.
So far I have not had any problems with its remote operation. And hope it continues to do well for me. I'M A HAPPY CAMPER NOW!

This is a great blanket, but I have found that it does shed. I haven't washed it yet, so I don't know if that will solve the problem. It is very warm and a fantastic blanket for the record snow fall in the DC area this winter.

I don't like the cold at all so I wanted a throw/blanket that would keep me warm, would be soft and wouldn't fall apart after a little bit of use.
This throw met all my expectations and more. It's long enough for me to cover my feet up to my shoulders if I lie strsight or I can completely cover myself if I scrunch up a bit.
The heating elements heat up quickly and the 3 hour auto off feature is really handy when I go to bed.
I've washed it twice so far - both times in the washing machine and tumble dryer. It took very little time to wash. I followed the instructions but found I didn't need to iron it at the end (even better!)
I love it!
