3 out of 5 stars Better than a poke in the face.   April 11, 2010

For the money, this is not a bad comforter. It is a good layering weight year round. However, the fill on mine bunches up in the squares, leaving a rather lumpy appearance under my duvet cover. I have to play with it and smush it down so that it doesn't look like I'm smuggling hamsters in my bedding. As far as comfort, though, it works.

3 out of 5 stars Not bad, not great   December 18, 2009

Its relatively warm and cozy, but nothing special. Based on some of the reviews, I was expecting to be blown away by this product and I was not.

1 out of 5 stars Pilled up and ripped in the washer and died in the dryer   November 18, 2009
Connie (Seattle WA USA)
I bought this as a gift for my daughter. I just came for a visit and discovered that the FIRST time she laundered it, it ripped and all the pilling spilled out in the washer! It clogged the drain, necessitating a visit from the washer repairman. Then the dryer (and it is NOT an overheating dryer - it does not even have a really hot setting) burned a section. I would say DO NOT BUY IT if you intend to launder it. The laundry instructions sewn into the comforter are just the usual 'wash and dry' at moderate settings. No warning that it will rip or pill in the washer and certainly no warning that it will burn in the dryer. Buy at your own risk!

5 out of 5 stars Alternative down comforter   September 6, 2009

Feels just like down, but does not hold "too much" heat like most non-down fillers. Machine washable is a BIG plus.

3 out of 5 stars not what I expected   April 17, 2009

When I took it out of the box I was kind of disapointed because it's very thin. Not fluffy, like I was expecting. I have it on our bed now and it has alot of spots that have no fulling. Each square does have fill, but some have more then others, but not completely filled, like I would have expected. I'm going to see how it works with a duvet cover, then I'm going to decide if this will go in the guest room intead.
