2 out of 5 stars Fancy, but ineffective   August 19, 2010

Not afraid to spend a little money in the name of comfort, I purchased this pillow against my best instincts. Unfortunately, it just didn't work for me. I don't think the size of this product can be underestimated. The buyer has to understand that you're going to draw a lot of attention around the airplane cabin when you pull this out and inflate it. If you're at all concerned about what others think about you, I wouldn't get it.

Looks aside, the function of this pillow ultimately comes down to the ability to tether the pillow to the back of your seat. Problem is, most airplane seats I've seen recently do not have the ability to tether a rope around the top of the seat. The seats are uniform; they don't have a separate head rest which would provide an ideal tether location.

I give this a 2 star rating because the pillow is expensive, bulky and attention-drawing, and ineffective with most airplane seats. This product may be applicable for children on long car rides, but even then I can't see them dealing with the tether cord and/or inflatable nature of the pillow.

5 out of 5 stars We've tried lots of pillows and these are the BEST!   August 16, 2010

My husband and I have tried the 1st class sleeper, and the horseshoe shaped pillows, both bean filled and memory foam and have never liked anything like the TravelRest pillow. I love the fact that it wraps around the body in the front - a great angle on which to rest your head and a comfortable place for your arms. I did learn to not over inflate - just a couple of puffs is perfect. And besides the comfort, the small size and the fact that it attaches so easily to the carry-on is just an added bonus. This is a great product and I have already told family and friends about it!

1 out of 5 stars broke with one use   August 13, 2010

The air hole plug broke off on the first trip rendering the pillow uninflatable. Fortunately my money was refunded even though it was a few wks after the deadline.

5 out of 5 stars Great Travel Accessory   August 7, 2010

Very handy in the way it can be unrolled and inflated, and quickly deflated to stow away also. The odd shape is a great design idea, it works surprisingly well.

3 out of 5 stars It is ok but not worth the $$$   July 25, 2010

I travel a bunch, bought this for a trip to Australia from the US. Used the product and wasn't any better than the old horse shoe blow up.
