I agree with a few other reviews - for the price, it's a very good heated throw, however the wires are somewhat bulky. I've had mine for about 2 years and use it nightly in the fall/winter (in New Jersey), and it still works well. As far as I know, I haven't had any issues with the automatic shut-off; I turn it on about an hour before I plan to go to bed and when I wake up it's off.
If you're looking for something inexpensive, I think this would be fine. If you're looking for something more luxurious, you'll need to spend more money.

I bought this for my 82 yr. old father who of course at that age has everything but his health. He has few words for things and never says love. He loves this. He said it is so soft and warm. Not to heavy and just the right size for sitting in the chair. I finally got him a gift he can really enjoy!

This heated throw blanket was the perfect size. It is plush and soft. The control is very easy to operate. I ordered it for my husband who had a stroke and is cold all of the time so he needed it out of bed and in the wheelchair or on the couch.
