This is absolutely the best blanket i have ever owned. The texture of it is soft like a cloud and just by itself its super warm. But the real magic happens once you turn it on. It gets so incredibly warm and toasty it's like sitting in front of the wood burning fire on a freezing December night. My only problem with it is that I wish the preheat feature was at least 20 minutes. Preheat means that it heats on its highest setting for 10 mins then goes back to whatever temp you had it set at. On a really cold night, 10 mins is not enough. But that is not a deal breaker. I really love this blanket and it is worth every penny!!
p.s. to make it feel really hot, set it on high and put a couple of pillows on top of all your blankets at the foot of the bed for 15 mins or so. the pillow traps in the heat and makes it reallly warm and toasty. you'll forget you live in -20 degree weather with 2 feet of snow.
