| Customer Reviews: The Silk Filling Makes All the Difference January 15, 2010 L. Ott (Vacaville, CA United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Wow! This is the best comforter I've ever owned and I will never buy another one unless it has the silk insulation. The comforter is extremely light, so it doesn't take two people to straighten it out every morning. It is also unbelievably soft ... the moment you cover yourself, the blanket drapes softly around your body so there are no chilly air gaps to contend with. Although this is considered to be a summer comforter, it has kept me warm through all four seasons.(I turn my household heat off at night and it's not unusual for the room to drop to around 60 degrees when I sleep.) Remarkably, I don't overheat during our hot summers, either. If you are looking for a really soft, snuggly, lightweight comforter, this is the blanket for you. My only recommendation is that you spend an extra few dollars and get a duvet cover for it. The comforter itself is not washable, and unless you're fond of taking your favorite blanket to the dry cleaners on a regular basis, (believe me, you'll MISS IT when it's gone) just slide it inside a washable duvet cover.
Never use down Again! May 11, 2009 Jeri Sabo (New York) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Saw these comforters constructed in China. Ordered one on returning home. Light weight got me through the winter. No shifting, no allergic reaction.
Will never, never buy a down comforter again!
