Luxury March 12, 2010 P. Laurence (St Louis, MO) I don't know how to describe this comforter really. It is amazing!! Wish I could afford to buy several for my friends. One night with this comforter is all you need to be warm, comfortable and you'll be happy you bought it. I sleep like a baby all night. My cat on the other hand took a few nights to get used to it, since it felt different to her when stepping on it. She thought something was in there crawling around, like a mouse or something, but she's used to it now. I slipped it into a duvee and I'm loving the comforter. I have a queen size bed but purchased the king size comforter, giving me a little extra room.
best comforter ever March 1, 2010 ocvj I spent hours deciding which comforter to buy and I was really relieved to find one for a good price that had great reviews. This is my favorite comforter that I've owned and probably one of the best that I've used. I needed one that wasn't too warm but capable of getting warm some nights. This comforter heats up after a couple minutes under the covers and does a great job of getting to that right amount of heat. It is oversized, which is great. Contrary to some of the feedback about the comforter not fitting in the standard queen duvet, I actually think the fact that it is 2" oversized makes it seem like the comforter fills out the duvet nicely.
I am a happy (and warm!) girl now! February 26, 2010 Periwinkle Blue (Mississippi) Once fall hits and until summer returns, I am always cold at night. I just got this comforter and for the past 2 nights I am warm in bed again! :)
I was able to put it in a duvet cover I got on clearance from Bed Bath and Beyond; it fit perfectly. The room temperature has been about 60F (outside about 25F) and I has been plenty warm without any additional blankets. In the mornings, a quick shake and it is all nice and fluffy, ready for when I come back to bed.
I believe if I lived somewhere up north, where it is much colder in the winter, this might not be adequate. Either a heavier comforter or additional blankets would be needed.
Wonderful, dog-friendly comforter! January 6, 2010 fake name (Las Vegas) I love, love, love this comforter! I have purchased 4 down comforters in the last 6 years and have lost them all due to my dogs. One of them has seizures and will sometimes pee when a seizure comes on. SO each time, my husband and I have to get up (usually in the middle of the night), strip the bed, and take it to the cleaners. Each time this would take 5-7 days and cost $30-$45 on top of the $150-$200 cost of the down comforter. I had had enough!
Then I found this comforter on Amazon. A comforter that I could WASH! I was skeptical that it would not feel as luxurious or as warm as down, but I was pleasantly surprised. Also, I was attracted to the fact that it is down alternative because I am highly allergic to common bed filler and have had trouble in the past. It is warm, it is comfortable, and it is large! I am in love!
I've owned the comforter for almost a year and only had one accident with my dog. I was able to wash it at the laundry mat for $1.50 and have it back within a couple of hours. I think that if my washer was front loading, I could have handled it at home. But, it washed up beautifully and was just as fluffy as before!
I cannot say enough good things about this comforter! Especially about the price! I highly recommend this product!
Highly recommend for the price October 21, 2009 DABS (MN) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After reading several reviews I decided to purchase the Medium Weight PrimaLoft Comforter for my King Size Sleep Number bed. I was skeptical because I like a comforter to fit completely over the bed and sides and I've had a difficult time finding a nice one that does because the mattress is so deep. I love this comforter - great value for the money! It fits my King bed and drapes probably a foot or better on each side and a couple feet at the bottom. It is lightweight yet warm and comfortable. I prefer alternative down due to allergies and don't like how real down leaves feathers. This is the first PrimaLoft I've tried and would buy another. I've owned it now for a little over a month and would recommend it. Being oversized I was able to find a nice duvet at Bed Bath and Beyond that fits perfect as well. It is plenty warm with just the sheet and comforter even in Minnesota.
