Fun... but slippery March 15, 2010 Becca Stratford (Washington, DC) I don't know what I was expecting. I bought these when they were a deal of the day, mostly because I thought it would be fun to have satin sheets. And it is. However, they are extremely slippery. Not only do you slide around, but the bedding on top moves a little more freely than I would like it to... Mostly because it ends up on the floor. Also, I usually by cotton sheets and am a little more used to the breathability that they provide.
I don't think I would buy them again, but I didn't send them back. They fit my deep bed, and sometimes it's just nice to do something different. I wouldn't suggest using them in the summer if you live in a place that is humid. Then they kind of stick to your body and it gets extrenely uncomfortable. Other than that these are pretty decent satin sheets especially for the price.
not at all what I expected March 13, 2010 Lindsey Burkhardt (Ft. Bragg, NC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought these sheets after reading reviews saying how good they are, and being slippery seemed to be one of the only complaints. I pulled them out of the package, and they were poorly stitched, and although they were slippery, the texture was not what I had equated satin to feel like. I've had satin sheets before, that were soft, cool and very pleasant. These were very slippery, but not in the soft pleasant way. What I mean is, they slid off the pillows, wouldn't stay on the mattress, and fell off a lot during the night causing a very restless night's sleep. and they were not "soft" just kind of slippery if that makes sense. I realize they were cheap, but the quality was so poor, that after one wash in the washing machine, on hand wash cycle mind you, the elastic ripped away, and now the fitted sheet is useless. I would have rather spent more money on a better quality set of sheets. After the wash, the flat sheet had pilling, and the stitches are so loosely threaded on the rest of it, they just look like they'll fall apart, and are not really soft at all. They looked really nice on the bed, and were pretty from a distance, just a nightmare to try to sleep on.
WOW! March 11, 2010 Kerri D. Hedges (USA) I have a Caly sized bed and to buy sheets for it is sooo expensive......the price was completely AMAZING and the feel and durability even with a dog is great!. Now the feel and comfort is better than my 1200 thread count sheets! My husband is in Iraq and these WILL be the sheets on the bed when he comes home in about 83 days :) He's 6feet 4inch tall so between being able to fit on a bed for the first time in a year and the sheets he'll be lovin it! :) ! :)
I'll be ording another set in a few months!
Not for small king pillowtops!! March 5, 2010 A. Cullum (Oklahoma) The sheets are awesome but huge! It's more for the Cali king pillow-tops... I have a double pillow-top and they will not stay on the bed right, they hang over the box springs a great deal.
Nice satin sheets... March 3, 2010 Jennifer J. Young I purchased the queen gold satin sheets, and the product was exactly as described. The color was almost spot-on the picture shown. Satin sheets can get very cold in the winter, and they are best used for hot summer days. If you've never had satin sheets before you may find yourself "slipping and sliding" a lot more at night. My husband isn't a big fan of satin sheets because he often has "rough" feet and he feels like he's scratching the sheets some nights. It came with the fitted sheet, flat sheet, and 2 standard pillow cases (which fit over my queen pillows.) Overall, it's a nice set of satin sheets.
