Product Description
Sleep Studio's exclusive new ViscO2 memory foam combined with ventilation provides the perfect balance of support, comfort and temperature. ViscO2 is a breakthrough in memory foam technology with the same performance as the leading brand, but with 5 times greater airflow to prevent overheating. Sleep Studio then adds 3 zones of air channels to allow even more air circulation at the head and feet and more support in the torso area. ViscO2 + ventilation = more oxygen (O2) under the covers for a healthier, more comfortable night's sleep. Unlike other leading memory foams, ViscO2 returns to its original size faster and is not prone to permanent shrinkage from compression. Ultra fresh anti microbial/anti bacterial treatment is also added.

5 out of 5 stars Great topper!   July 19, 2010
Avery
This foam topper is absolutely great! It has brought new life to my 30-year old mattress and is extremely comfortable. According to another website, this is rated at 3 lbs, which isn't bad...especially for the price.

When I received the package, I unwrapped the foam and it expanded to full size in under a minute. I'm quite sensitive to weird smells, but this had absolutely no smell at all. The instructions speak of a slight odor that will last for up to 48 hours, but I noticed nothing. Heat was not a problem at all. The foam is 'ventilated' so it's quite comfortable. Texture-wise it reminds me of angel food cake.

5 out of 5 stars Sleep Studio Matress Enhancer   July 17, 2010
Gail Olesh
I purchased this product for my mother who was having problems sleeping and waking up with pain in her hips and shoulders. My mother is very pleased with the mattress enhancer. She has relief from pressure points in her mattress that put pressure on her hips and shoulders and caused pain that kept her awake. She had a lot of pain when she got up in the morning. She is now getting up virtually pain free and is so grateful to us for purchasing this memory foam mattress enhancer for her. She also does not have the fatigue she was dealing with, not because of meds, but because of lack of sleep. This is a great product.

2 out of 5 stars Reviews Missed the Boat Here   July 13, 2010

The reviews on this product definitely mislead me. Here's my experience with this product:

Shipping/Size - the size of the box is surprisingly small. After unpacking the product springs back to close to full size very quickly within 15 minutes or so.

Fumes/Smell - Some reviews said this mattress didn't smell that much. I made the mistake of unpacking it inside the house and putting it on my bed to decompress. It smelled up the entire house within a couple hours. I really wanted to try the topper out so I attempted to sleep on the mattress the first night after it had been airing out for about 6 hours with the windows open in my room. After 20 minutes of attempting to sleep I couldn't stand the smell any more and put the topper in the garage. It strongly smelled up my garage for 3 days. After 4 days in the garage the smell subsided enough that I attempted to sleep on it again. After 4 days of airing out I could still smell it when I laid on the mattress.

Comfort - The foam of this topper is not very dense. If you squeeze the topper between your fingers it will squeeze down to just a couple millimeters without too much pressure. If you lay on your side with the topper on a hardwood floor you can feel the hardwood under you hips, knees, and elbows. So you REALLY sink into this topper. This definitely concerned me. However, when I initially laid on the mattress it feels pretty good. I fell asleep fairly quickly. Unfortunately I woke up an hour or two later feeling like you feel when you spend too much time in a hot tub. As my body heat warmed up the topper it got even softer, so it had absolutely no support. Due to the low density of the topper you sink the full 3 inches down and the topper surrounds your body with a very good insulator and it feels about as comfortable as trying to sleep in 98 degree heat. Air temperature was 69 degrees. I pushed the blanket off the bed and attempted to sleep under just a sheet. Still too hot - so I resorted to sleeping with just a sheet 1/2 half off me. Now I was simultaneously too hot on the bottom, and too cold on top. I rolled around for a couple of hours trying to get comfortable. Finally waking up my wife. I asked her if I could remove the topper from the bed at 3 am so I could sleep. She said no. I retreated to the living room couch and managed to get 3 hours sleep. I'm 6'5" 195 lbs and the there's not nearly enough support for me. My wife is 5'7" 130 and she also doesn't think it has enough support.

Summary - If you like a REALLY soft REALLY warm sleeping experience then maybe this product is for you. If you like a little support from a topper and don't like to cook in bed definitely look elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend bringing this product indoors until it's aired out for at least 5 days.

5 out of 5 stars Great for Back Surgery Patients!   July 8, 2010
MommyLove3 (Los Angeles, CA)
My mom recently had back surgery. She had her back fused and needed to wear a brace to move. the foam topper on her bed was great because after she left the hospital, she needed a comfortable yet supportive surface to sleep in. The foam mattress topper hugged her body as soon as she got into bed and prevented her from moving around too much, allowing her body to heal properly.

She loves the topper, I don't think she'll ever sleep in a bed without her memory foam again.

I checked the reviews for this product before purchase. I ordered at 5pm and received it at 9 am the next day. It was well packaged and had no odor at all. I am sensitive to smells and that was one of my concerns. I was told to order a king for a queen size bed and am so very glad I did not. The queen size covers my queen mattress beautifully, edge to edge. It did not take but a few minutes to pop to full size. I did not find it hot to sleep on but I do have a mattress pad over it. So far, totally loving it and so glad I opted for this instead of a new mattress. Excellent buy!
