 Would stand up in normal circumstances March 4, 2010

I ordered this to replace cheaper comforters we've always bought for my 11 yr-old sons bed hoping it would stand up to large dog claws. I was disappointed to see it was very thin cotton backing and denim only on the 'top' side. I can see where this makes sense but as I said, I was hoping for something very sturdy. The detailed stitching is a nice touch. It is definitely sized to fit a Queen size bed. My son's bed is a lower full sized bunk (with a ladder) so it's HUGE and falls onto the floor by morning because my son is an active sleeper. I suppose it can't be the manufacturers fault that my dogs are monsters whose favorite past-time include eating blankets. Even, brand new $90 plus shipping ones. :( In a normal house, I think this would be a fine comforter. It would even hold up fine for a 11 yr-old that doesn't insist on sleeping with his giant beasts.

I purchased a Calvin Klein denim comforter about two years ago and it was denim on both sides. Mr. Klein seems to have decided to scrimp on costs and now has denim on only one side of the comforter. It's like you are getting only half of what you thought you were paying for. Very disappointed.

This quilt is truly a beautifully made product. It is so soft and warm and does indeed have a very generous loft as the description states. It arrived with an original price of $170+ so the price Amazon is selling it for is awesome. The only thing I'm not happy about is that the quilt does not reverse to a striped pattern as stated. It reverses to a lighter blue solid color. Other than the initial dissapointment of the descrepency in the description, I would definitely buy this item again and recommend it to a friend.

I am purchasing my 2nd TH Denim Comforter. I purchased the same comforter about 7 years ago for my son's room (he was 7 at the time) and it held up EXTREMELY well. I now have to break down and purchase another and when I asked my son what he wanted...he wants the exact same one. He loves the weight (not too heavy, not too light) and really likes the rugged look. So, another Tommy Hilfiger it is!

Tommy Hilfiger All American Denim Twin Comforter
I had previously purchased a Tommy hilfiger comforter for my son but he upgraded to a queen size bed and I needed to purchase another demin comforter. This bedspread is really nice and durable. I really enjoy the simple yet eloquent desgin. One of the most important factors in buying this item is it washes very well. I would recommend this comforter for any boy's room young or old.
