Product Description
Did you know that every mattress needs a Protect-A-Bed Mattress Protector? FACT: Every night the human body loses a liter of body fluids through the skin pores and mouth, as well as millions of skin flakes. Unprotected mattresses thereby create the perfect breeding ground for bacteria and dust mites (a major cause of asthma, eczema and rhinitis). You can control this by fitting a Protect-A-Bed Premium Mattress Protector, which is also especially helpful in cases of incontinence. This fitted sheet style pad is sized to even fit pillow-top mattresses comfortably. Its cotton, terry-cloth fabric toplayer is soft and comfortable under your sheets. Guaranteed against leaks or tears for 10 years or the factory will replace the pad at no cost. (Full Size: 54x75x14 in.) Wash before use for best results. Do not bleach or dry clean.

5 out of 5 stars Great mattress protector   July 29, 2010
L. Sullivan (Cumming)
I bought it because I don't want my daughter who was potty training wet her mattress at night. She has had a few leaks at night, but the mattress is still dry. I have the same mattress protector of a different size for my own bed. She spilled a full of water on my bed, everything was wet, but mattress was dry. The excess water that wasn't absorbed by the sheet pooled on the protector. After I took everything off to be washed and wiped the excess water, the mattress and the other side of the mattress protector were dry. I would recommend this product.

I bought my first protect-a-bed 3 years ago when I bought my little boy his first big boy bed.
Last fall (2009) after a tornado hit our house ,I bought a new bed for my little girl and a king size bed for the master. At the same time I bought protect-a-bed covers for each bed. In March I took the sheets of my little boys bed and there was a big wet stain on the mattress. I called Protect -a- Bed and they told me to fax a reciept and send the cover back, but before had time to do it we had to leave for Houston for cancer treatment for my husband.
Once we got home we were hit by a flood----yes---Twice in almost a year our city was declaired a federal disaster area. In the last week my little girl has slept in her bed where she was wet and crawled into my bed and wet in it!!
Now her bed has a big stain on it , and my bed has no stain , but a smell of tee tee. This makes THREE
Protect-a-Beds that have NOT protected and ruined the mattresses. The double beds were 750.00 each and the king was 2600.00--plus the cost for all 3 pads!!!!
I called Protect-a-bed- and Dennis (in claims )told me that a customer must contact them within 5 days or they do NOT stand behind the warrenty! I had told him all the things I had going on, and he told ME if I had thought the covers were a priority-------I would have sent the pad to them in March!!! He said they would maybe do something for the other mattresses, but as for the mattress in March they would not do anything for it!!! They want to send someone out to clean your mattress and send you a new pad.-----I had 3 different beds and 3 different pads that DID NOT protect----why do I think the new ones they send me would protect????????
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! DONT BUY!!!!!!!!! Ginger in Tennessee

5 out of 5 stars Great waterproof mattress protector!!   January 30, 2010
S. Ciftci (Portland, OR USA)
We bought this product when we purchased a new mattress at the recommendation of the sales person. We used it for a couple years and didn't notice how great it was until we had a child. With a newborn in our bed we had many milk and leaking diaper accidents. The mattress protector was wonderful and kept our mattress dry. When my son moved to his own bed we decided to get one for his bed as well. It doesn't make any noise like a lot of the plastic covers do and I don't feel hot from it. It is very thin, but keeps our mattress clean and dry. I highly recommend this product.

1 out of 5 stars Don't Buy   November 26, 2009

Don't buy this product. It will not stand up to laundering. Two or three washes later and it started to fall apart and leak. The 10 year warranty really means one return only according to the company when I called them - not much of a warranty at all. I would look for a real Gortex mattress protector. If you insist on buying this, DO NOT put it in the dryer, wash with no bleach of ANY kind and wash gentle. I totally regret buying.
